1.productive procrastination.

Frame it however you need. Im not scared.

You’ll be writing something and other ideas will come up. You gotta follow those. Story them for later, write a scene or two or three.

At least you’re writing. Pumping stories out.

I finished a huge draft of (my first book) back in the day and decided after some input its not the story i wanted. Took all that time to figure it.

But i liked the other story better, the one that didn’t take so long, that was immediate and shorter and drew deeply from experience. Ive already written a few books. Now it’s time to learn how to write good ones.

2.How to not waste your time writing a whole book that sucks - A: START WITH THE SCENE.

One scene at a time.

Story Grid’s advice is to Learn to write one scene well, the one that stands out in your head. Start to water and grow the garden of other scenes from there.
