1. Ian’s Poetry to me is like:

A poetic-scientific observation of pain.

It is an odd mix between the objective and the subjective. Especially in the new book (THIS IS NOT A SONG), it seems like at parts he is quoting anthropology textbooks, sociologists, dissecting animal behavior—relating it to us.
